RSN - RIP SLAUGHTER NETS BOOK  /  2026

The book outlines, explains, and contextualizes the issues stemming from industrial-scale fishing and bottom trawling in seas worldwide, as well as the long-term consequences of these practices—such as ghost fishing, ecosystem destruction, the disruption of food chains, ocean acidification, and the spread of tons of microplastics that end up on the plates of seafood consumers across the globe.

RSN serves as a disruptive tool for analysis and advocacy aimed at permanently halting these commercial practices. The project confronts the global peril we face by establishing a radical movement dedicated to a total boycott of industrial fishing, consumption, and trade. To convey the danger and the urgent need for action, the visual approach draws a parallel—regarding both immediate and long-term effects—between the aforementioned fishing methods and the atomic bombs detonated in 1945.

RSN does not aim to create a movement of hollow greenwashing, nor does it seek to persuade; the data speaks clearly, illustrating the situation exactly as it is. We now have only one chance to avert a global collapse of fish stocks: we must stop fishing.
